Susanville Millsite will be a 261-acre master-planned mixed-use development. The site is a vacated lumber mill in Lassen County across the Susan River from Uptown Susanville.  Currently in the early planning stages, SDS is preparing schematic land plans, infrastructure studies and design guidelines.  The project is being designed for future annexation to the City of Susanville.  Significant design components of the project include:

• A large neighborhood park.
• Linear open space adjacent to the Susan River to include stream bank restoration and enhancement and an extension of the community wide trail network.
• Housing ranging from apartments to high end single family homes.
• Large scale retail adjacent to Interstate 36
• Office and industrial uses
• Mixed-use zones to allow integrated transitions between differing land uses.
