SDS was the structural engineer for this 55-unit wood frame town house development totaling over 100,000 sq. ft. There are two basic unit types configured into 3, 4, and 5- plexes. Conventional construction provisions of the building code were used as much as possible to keep costs down. The second floor framing was designed for either roof configuration for simplicity. The floor framing was designed not just for the code-required loads but also for the proper feel for the comfort of the end user. SDS met the developer’s tight schedule and construction budget.
