SDS was the structural engineer for this 40,000 square foot, two story steel structure with special concentric brace frames. This project was approved by the Division of the State Architect of the State of California on a fast track because of a funding deadline. Due to the diminutive size of the site, retaining walls were required around roughly one third of the building. Wheel chair ramps provide access to both the 1st and 2nd floors. The building boasts enough space for a library, science labs, music, and drama rooms. SDS was also the structural engineer for the modernization of the rest of the campus and for the reconstruction of the gymnasium, which experienced partial structural failure under heavy snow loading. The project was constructed on time and under budget. Architect: Dwayne Evans.
