SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
 All incumbents must consistently demonstrate ability to maintain strictest level of confidentiality regarding all proprietary or confidential financial, corporate and personnel information.  Incumbents, whether regularly working in our office or out in the field, may be required to drive to complete position responsibilities as needed.  Therefore, all incumbents are required to possess and maintain a valid California driver’s license and meet the requirements of our insurance agency for driving company vehicles.

DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS:  All incumbents must demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively at a level required for successful performance in both verbal and written form, comprehend simple to complex instructions and successfully learn job specific software, office policies, procedures and the ability to follow directions are all essential.  Regular attendance is an essential function of any position.  Incumbents must be self-starting, motivated and able to adapt to various standards, procedures and work environments.  Incumbents must consistently demonstrate strong work ethic, great attitude, initiative and organizational skills. Exhibiting qualities of honesty, loyalty, creativity and ability to learn new skills with minimal direction are essential.  Proven abilities to maintain strictest level of confidentiality regarding all proprietary or confidential client information; observe at all times, company occupational safety procedures; work well under pressure with minimal supervision, meet multiple and sometimes competing deadlines; support and contribute to the company’s dedication toward ensuring a comfortable, productive and safe environment for all employees, outside contacts and clients; and demonstrate, at all times, civility and cooperative behavior with clients, colleagues and supervisors are essential.  Incumbents must have experience using general office equipment and the ability to perform a variety of rountine tasks with minimum supervision.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:  SDS is a high-energy, fast-paced multi-disciplinary design office fully automated with civil engineering, structural engineering, land surveying, land use planning and landscape architecture capabilities. The ability to meet multiple project deadlines and desire to work on a wide array of projects in a dynamic team atmosphere is critical.

EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING:  Any combination of training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, abilities and distinguishing characteristics is qualifying.
