Shasta Wine Village

SDS is currently working with MyLand.us on designing a wine village on a 10 acre property a few miles north of Redding in Shasta County.

The plan will accomodate up to 17 wineries along with a restaurant, deli-café, picnic grounds, event area and vineyard, all of which are surrounded by natural waterways and open space.

Win-River Casino Expansion

Redding, CA

Redding Rancheria's Win-River Casino is an 80,000 square foot entertainment establishment on the banks of Clear Creek in south Redding.

The Win-River expansion included on-site infrastructure improvements to support future Rancheria growth. Storm water runoff into Clear Creek was a prime concern for the Rancheria. SDS prepared a Storm Water Quality Plan to reduce the pollutants in the storm water leaving the site. The design includes drain inlet filters, perforated storm drain pipes with gravel backfilled trenches for infiltration, biofiltration swales, and a natural water quality retention basin.

In addition, SDS prepared the on-site construction documents for grading, paving, the drainage system, and the wet utilities.

Fairfield Inn

Redding, CA

In fall, 2010, Marriott's Fairfield Inn opened for business in north Redding off of Caterpillar Road. It is one of two multi-story hotels, along with an onsite restaurant, designed for the 6+ acre property on which it is located.

SDS provided the site design, land survey work, and entitlement process assistance. One challenge to this project was designing the underground storm water detention.
